Senior Conferences, Community College Application, FAFSA, and Xello Activity in September
Seniors formally meet with their counselor in a small-group and one-on-one setting during their Gov/Econ class in mid-September.  The meeting includes a review of the students grades to check if the student is on track for meeting Clovis Unified graduation requirements, and to provide students with guidance and information for whatever plans he or she has after high school.  Seniors that take their Gov/Econ class at CART will be called in by their counselor and are encouraged to reach out to their counselor in advance to make arrangements.  Clovis Community College representatives attend senior conferences to assist seniors in creating an SCCCD account if necessary, completing an SCCCD online application, and requesting their FSA ID (the first step in the FAFSA completion process).  If time allows seniors will also complete their last Xello activity in their high school career.  Seniors are encouraged to stay in touch with their counselors for the remainder of the school year!
