Clovis Unified’s Measure A is on the ballot this November. Measure A is a facility bond measure that maintains a stable tax rate and would provide for: 
  • Safety, energy efficiency and technology upgrades for ALL schools.
  • Modernization and repairs to aging schools.
  • Completion of our new high school to ease overcrowding.

Clovis East High School is proud to present the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2024 on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 7:30 in the evening at Lamonica Stadium. If you cannot join us at the stadium, please enjoy the live stream on this page the evening of the event.

Parade of Graduates


Graduation Ceremony Participant Information 
Thursday, May 30th – 6:00 pm at Clovis High “C” Building
1. Each graduate must arrive by 6:00pm and will be checked at the entry of the “C” building for proper attire. Anyone not in dress code will be turned away.  
2. Graduates may only bring a car key. Keys will be held for graduates and will be returned to the graduate after the ceremony. Do not bring valuables, purses, smart watches, or cell phones. It is suggested you leave these items with a parent or in your vehicle.
3. Graduates will pick up keys and receive their diploma as they exit the graduate area after the ceremony.  
4. After the ceremony, graduates will have 20 minutes to greet their families and friends on the grass area in the Merriman Baseball field. Guests of the graduates may enter this area after exiting the stadium.

Dress Code
CUSD DRESS CODE STRICTLY ENFORCED
1. All students will be checked by administrators and faculty for proper attire and grooming. Those students in violation will not participate in the graduation ceremony.  
2. Students must wear semi-formal or formal attire. This includes suit and tie, slacks with collared shirt and tie, dresses, dress pants or skirts with blouse, etc. NO DENIM and NO SHORTS are allowed.  
3. All dresses must have at least two-inch shoulder straps. Long dresses are permitted but must be pinned so they do not fall below the hem line of the graduation gown. Undergarments are not allowed to be shown. No sheer straps or panels. 
4. Students must wear dress shoes. Shoes that will NOT be permitted include, but are not limited to: athletic shoes, slides, Birkenstocks, Vans, flip-flop style sandals, Crocs, Doc Martens, combat boots, etc. We recommend low heeled shoes or flats. 5. All clothing must meet CUSD Dress Code regulations. In addition to the information above, students may not have facial piercings, distracting hair color, or distracting makeup, jewels, etc. In addition, facial hair should be nicely groomed.  
6. Caps will be worn flat on the head with the point aimed straight ahead.  
7. The gown must be completely zipped up during the entire event. 
8. Tassels will be worn on the right side of the cap. Bling tassels (if purchased from Graduate Services) are allowed. 

Graduation Ceremony Guest Information
Guest Seating
Gates will open at 6:00pm. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are not required for entry. Reserved seating is only available for those who have won seats at various events (e.g., foundation dinner, senior meeting, etc.).

Handicapped Seating
Seating for wheelchairs is available on the ground level as well as in the upper stadium. Courtesy golf cart shuttles are also available from the VIP/Handicap parking lot to the east of the stadium.  

Senior Graduation Banners
As a gift to the graduates of Clovis East, each student will receive a graduation banner with their individual name on it. These banners will be displayed along the fence of the Merriman Baseball Field and should not be removed before the ceremony concludes. We respectfully ask that you do not take a banner that does not belong to your student unless prior arrangements have been made with their family. Unfortunately, banners will not be reprinted.  

LARGE SIGNS, BALLOONS, AND NOISEMAKERS ARE
NOT ALLOWED INTO THE STADIUM.
