Spanish 3 classes at Clovis East are preparing to correspond (mailing letters) with students from a school in a remote, rural area in Colombia. Clovis East teacher, Mrs. Monica Jay, and a teacher in Colombia have collaborated across the miles to connect students from different countries, different schools, and different cultures. The teacher in Colombia is Rick Grijalva, a 2005 graduate of CEHS. Students will write at least three letters per semester in Spanish. We are hoping that the students enhance their practice and love of the language while learning about the culture and make a new friend abroad.
